Let's take care of him, he is one of us, he is a human being, he is not the one who chose him, he is a son of Adam

At the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Muhima Province, on the Sabbath of Relief, as they usually assign relief workers on this first Sabbath of May, there was a class called the Ability of Believers (Class for the Disabled and those who help in sign language), they organized a Sabbath school and also did relief work.

The class that focuses on the ability of Believers includes everyone because everyone has abilities, and when you remember them, you thank God. Also, we do not all have the same abilities, in this class we see people with different disabilities, we see orphans, there are widows. Because the whole life a person is living may have caused him a problem, causing him to join the disabled.

Akimana Theodosie, who is deaf and mute, is the one who told the news from elsewhere. She thanks God because she has a husband who is also deaf, but they thank God that they have one child, their child who is not deaf and who tells them many things they cannot hear.

This child of ours helps us to hear when we are at home when there is a knock, and he can talk to us so that at home we always thank God, especially this class we have been blessed with because we see that we are not alone and when we come to pray we can communicate everything because there are people we talk to in sign language”. She says.

Gad Cyiza Ndekezi is one of the leaders of this class that takes care of the abilities of believers, he began by thanking the Church that established this class, and we thank the trust given to us to establish this class, for a person to show his gift it is very difficult for him to find a way to show it but when you are given the opportunity and trust, you are strengthened.

Today we are proud to stand before you as a group that cares for the abilities of believers. In this group, there are those with disabilities and those who support those with various obstacles. There are those with disabilities who can come here to church, but there are also those who are in our homes, so we have a responsibility to reach them. We still need your help as a group, because now we need two wheelchairs that will help these children with disabilities so that they can walk when they come to worship. We are going to buy them, which would cost us about three million. “He said.

Elder Musoni Jean Paul was the preacher today. He thanked all the preachers who preceded him and prayed for God’s blessings on them. He returned to the group that cares for the abilities of believers for the good work they did on this relief day.

At the appointed time, God allowed me to stand here on the platform, when the church was appointing those who wanted to learn sign language, I did not have enough time, but these young men of ours learned it and understood it and helped them communicate with them. May God bless them. I recently had a problem when I met a young man near the church when there were two of us, but I could not understand what he was saying to me because I do not know sign language. But if I had been the guide, we would have talked, but it ended without me knowing what he was saying to me and he did not understand what I replied to him.” He says.

He continued by saying that it was clear that he wanted help from me, but if I had known the language, I would not have had any problems. I am grateful to the church for accepting to teach this sign language and I encourage others to learn it. However, I still owe that young man a debt of gratitude and I have not been able to communicate with him. Maybe God will bring us together again, we will find interpreters, so that I can understand what he wanted.

He concluded by talking about the song given 168 Saints of the King saying that we are all saints of the king because we were created by God, and he promised us that he will help us because no one will come to trouble and protect you, and all your troubles will be a blessing for you, as the trial does not warn us because it comes suddenly, and my grace will be enough and this is a comfort.
